In 2009 the Centre for the Community Group (CCG) raised funds in support of the Community Complex. The initial project was to raise $1.5 million for the development of the outdoor facilities. Following the success of that campaign, the CCG announced to the community that it would raise additional funds to support a second ice pad at the North Dumfries Community Complex (NDCC). With overwhelming community support for this endeavor, the CCG raised an additional $615,000.00 more for the twin pad for a total of $2.15 million in 2010.
The CCG had taken the remaining funds and placed them in a trust fund with the Waterloo Region Community Foundation. Through our stewardship of the funds, held in trust on behalf of the community for a future twin pad project, we were able to contribute towards the cost of the NDCC, renovations to the ACC, contributions to various community groups and the skatepark, and have grown the fund to over $700,000.00 today.

Through our grant programs, which we suspended in 2021, we had contributed to the Langs Youth Program, Family Counselling Centre, Ayr Paris Band, NDCC Skate Park, Ayr Minor Softball, Ayr Rockets, NDCC Scorpion Volleyball and Ayr Skating Club.
With the Townships plans to start the Second Ice Pad, we have contributed $50 K to the Architectural and the remaining funds will go towards the fundraising program for the second ice pad and programming rooms.
